Kumusta, and welcome

AsianPinay is a blog for Filipinas — the ones who never left, the ones who did, and the ones raised somewhere else who are still finding their way back to the language and the food. We write the things we wished someone had written down for us: how to get adobo right when the vinegar abroad tastes different, what a five-day Palawan trip actually costs in pesos, which remittance route keeps the most money in your mother’s hands.

Everything here sits in one of five places. Kusina is the kitchen — recipes, regional dishes, and the substitutions that make them work when the nearest Asian grocery is an hour away. Lakbay is travel at home, planned on a real budget. OFW Life & Money is the practical and the heavy: fees, savings, documents, and the homesickness nobody warns you about. Kultura explains the traditions we grew up inside without ever having them explained. Ganda & Buhay is skin, budget finds, and keeping a home running.

We are a small independent blog, not a magazine with a research department. What we publish, we have cooked, walked, or worked out on paper — and when we have not, we say so. That is the whole promise. Here is how we work.
