Everything on AsianPinay is general information published in good faith — recipes, travel guides and money explainers you act on using your own judgement. Our writing stays ours: quote a little with a link, but do not republish whole posts. Questions go to hello@asianpinay.in.net.
These terms cover your use of asianpinay.in.net. By reading the site you accept them. They are written to be understandable rather than impressive, and none of them takes away a right you have under the consumer law of your own country.
Using the site
Read it, cook from it, plan a trip with it, forward a link to your cousin. That is what it is for, and it is free. What we ask you not to do is scrape the site wholesale, republish our posts on another domain, hammer the server with automated requests, or use the site to break the law. We may change, move or remove any page at any time, and we may restrict access if someone is abusing it.
Our content is general information
This is the important part, so read it properly.
Everything here is general information, published in good faith and believed accurate when written. It is not personal advice. We do not know your kitchen, your health, your visa status, your bank, or your family’s situation, so nothing on this site can account for them. You act on your own judgement, and you are responsible for the decisions you make.
Recipes, food safety and allergies
Our recipes are tested, but your equipment is not ours. Ovens run hot, induction hobs behave differently from gas, and a pork shoulder from one butcher is not the same as a pork shoulder from another. Use the visual and texture cues in the method — the sauce coats a spoon, the meat gives under a fork — alongside the times we give, not instead of your own eyes.
You are responsible for handling and cooking food safely: cook meat, poultry, seafood and eggs to safe internal temperatures, refrigerate promptly, and follow your local food safety guidance. Check every ingredient against your own allergies and dietary needs, including hidden ones — many Filipino dishes contain shellfish through bagoong or patis, and soy, wheat and peanuts appear in places you might not expect. If you have a serious allergy, a coeliac diagnosis, or you are cooking for someone who does, verify each ingredient yourself. We cannot do that for you and we are not liable for what happens if it is not done.
Travel information changes
Ferry schedules get cancelled. Roads close. Fares rise, resorts change hands, and an island that needed no permit last year may need one now. Any itinerary, route or cost on this site is a starting point compiled at a stated time, not a live timetable, and we do not guarantee that anything we describe is still running or still priced that way.
Before you travel, confirm schedules with the operator, check your government’s current travel advice, sort your own insurance, and comply with local entry and permit rules. Weather in the Philippines can shut down sea travel with little notice, and no blog post beats a phone call to the port on the morning.
Money content is not financial advice
We explain how remittance fees and exchange margins work, and we show the arithmetic on example figures so you can redo the sum with your own numbers. That is education, not a recommendation.
This is general information, not financial advice. Fees and rates change — check with your provider before you send.
We are not licensed financial advisers and nothing here is a recommendation to use a particular provider, product, or savings scheme. Before you move money, confirm current fees and rates directly with the provider and, for anything significant, speak to a qualified adviser regulated in your own country.
Health and skin content
Skincare and wellbeing posts are general information only. They are not medical advice and no product mentioned is claimed to treat a medical condition. For anything persistent, painful, spreading or worrying, see a doctor or dermatologist rather than a website.
Intellectual property
The writing, photographs, recipes as written, and page design on AsianPinay belong to us and are protected by copyright.
You are welcome to quote a short extract — a couple of sentences — with clear attribution and a working link back to the original page. You may cook our recipes, print one for your own kitchen, and share links anywhere you like. What you may not do is republish whole posts, reproduce substantial parts of them on another site or in a newsletter, feed the archive into a commercial dataset, or present our work as your own. If you want to use something more fully, ask us first.
Trade marks and brand names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and appear for identification only.
Links to other sites
We link out to operators, agencies and sources when it is useful. Those sites are not ours. We do not control their content, their prices, their privacy practices or their security, and a link is not an endorsement of everything they publish or sell. Once you follow a link, their terms apply, not ours.
The site currently carries no affiliate links. If that changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question, as set out in our editorial policy.
Limitation of liability
We publish carefully but we cannot promise the site is error-free, uninterrupted, or complete, and we do not warrant that any price, schedule or route is current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from acting on information published here — including a spoiled dish, a missed boat, a changed fee, or a decision that did not go the way you hoped.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site develops. The current version is always the one on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version. Material changes will be noted rather than slipped in quietly.
